Cary NC HomesFastest Growing Cities In The South

Raleigh is one corner of the triangle region of North Carolina, a booming area that includes Durham and Chapel Hill and is home to the largest research park in the U.S. In 2010, the Milken Institute ranked Raleigh No. 7 in its list of best performing cities for creating and sustaining economic growth. Cary Named Second Safest city by Population in US
CARY, NC – The Town of Cary has been named the second safest in the nation among municipalities with populations of 100,000 to 499,999 by CQ Press, publisher of the annual “City Crime Rankings 2010-2011: Crime in Metropolitan America”; the town previously held the fifth safest city ranking in the same category in 2009. This is Cary’s twelfth consecutive year on this list. Only Amherst, New York ranked safer among municipalities with similar populations. As of October 1, the Town’s estimated population was 142,176. Top 10 Real Estate Boomtowns: 2020

At the top, the Raleigh-Cary, N.C., metro area is expected to see a 35.7 percent rise in population by 2020, after a 41.8 percent rise between 2000-10. The area’s economy is buoyed by a relatively young population attracted to the area’s universities and research facilities.

“Raleigh (has) always been a hot spot for growth and relocation. It doesn’t surprise me that we are slated for tremendous growth,” said Sheri Moritz, broker at Keller Williams Preferred Realty in Raleigh.

“We have many great (businesses) in the area producing jobs that will eventually relocate people to the area.” Read more…

 

The 20 Cities That Are Having An Awesome Recovery
The cities performing well since the country’s economy bottomed out all have one thing in common: They are doing more, with less.

While these cities were battered by increases in unemployment and declines in home prices during the recession, they have since bounced back to growth.

They’re doing it with fewer people working, so efficiency has clearly been the driver of recovery in these spots.
